Plus Size Striped Sundress From Shein

I’ve been digging the black and whites lately. I’ve also been really appreciating Shein’s new-ish “FIT+” line with expanded sizing. When this dress came up on sale, I was thrilled to see it in the extended sizes!

I ordered it in Shein’s size 24/26, which, in my opinion, fits very true to size. If I were to equate it to Torrid sizing, it would be a solid size 4.

The material is a decent poly-blend with light stretch. It does not cling, and it is not overly lightweight. The fabric reminds me of a comfy T-shirt… which obviously makes for a very comfortable, flowy sundress.

While I’m not usually a fan of the cold-shoulder look, this particular style has a lot of shape (plus cute ruffle details) in that sleeve and opening. I found it to be flattering, fluttery, and not too bulky.

This dress regularly retails for $19 (which is a worthy price in itself), but I snagged it on sale and with coupon for a final price of $12.76.

Cropped Jean Jacket & Accessories

While the dress is cute AF by itself, I wanted to use just a little something extra to break up all that hypnotic black and white. Enter this badass cropped jean jacket from Rainbow Shops!

The distressing on this vest is amazing. I love how it runs clear around the back of the collar. So much texture! The medium wash plays nicely with the bold pattern of the dress, too.

I bought this jacket in-store, labeled as Highway Jeans brand. I’m not finding a link to share for online purchase, unfortunately. I know I paid $19.99 for it, though. You can check out some similar Rainbow jackets here.

Keep in mind that Rainbow’s plus size clothing runs smaller, like junior’s plus. This was the largest size I could find, at 2X. It has a comfortable fit worn open, but it would be an uncomfortable chore to try to wear it buttoned.

There was lots of walking involved in today’s outing, so I opted for flat comfy sandals. These are the Women’s Footbed Thong Sandals by Time & Tru (Walmart) in white. While they regularly retail for $17.98, you may find them at your local Walmart on summer clearance right now. I scored this pair for $3 (yes!) recently.

I paired this look with a chunky black woven stretch belt that’s been in my closet for years.

I felt super cute all day, but most importantly, I was actually comfortable even though the temps were in the low-80’s!
